An Invitation: Do you wish to become a Catholic?
Our parish runs a programme for adults who wish to become Catholic or explore the possibility of joining the Catholic Church. This programme is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
The Inquiry Period will commence on Thursday 9th April at 7:00 PM in the St Thomas More Parish Centre, with weekly lessons continuing each Thursday at the same time for all interested individuals.
Duration: The journey to becoming a Catholic takes time. While the process varies for each individual, it may take up to 18 months or more.
Conversion Journey: The RCIA is a time of spiritual formation and conversion to the Catholic faith.
Sunday Mass: An essential part of RCIA is attending Sunday Mass, which is the source and summit of the Catholic faith. Even though you cannot receive Holy Communion until you are Catholic, you are welcome to come forward for a blessing. Simply place your arms across your chest in the form of a cross as a sign that you wish to receive a blessing from the Priest.
Easter Vigil Mass: Adults typically enter the Church at the Easter Vigil Mass.
Join Anytime: Adults are welcome to join at any time, and it is not limited to the Inquiry Period. We meet every Thursday at 7:00 PM at St Thomas More.
Contact Information: For further inquiries, please email Heidi at [email protected].
You are very welcome, and we would love to see you.
Kind regards,
Fr Eamon Kennedy
